With crystal clear water, white sand beaches, lush rain-forests and tropical islands, it's easy to see why Fiji was voted the happiest place on Earth.
Fiji is an island country in Melanesia in the South Pacific Ocean about 1,100 nautical miles northeast of New Zealand's North Island. The country comprises an archipelago of more than 332 islands, of which 110 are permanently inhabited, and more than 500 islets. The two major islands are Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.
In a country blessed with an abundance of scenic beauty, the Sigatoka Sand Dunes stand out as one of the more unique wonders of Fiji.
Just off the Queen's Road opposite the Outrigger on the Lagoon Fiji, Kula Eco Park is Fiji's only wildlife park. The park is a cool green forest nestled in a small valley. The trees have names like Dawa, Ivi, Vutu and Vesi and tower above the valley floor filtering the sun. Visitors will hear the call of barking pigeons, the shrill of honey eaters and the constant, pulsing concert of unseen forest dwellers.
The Biausevu Waterfall (also known as Savu Na Mate Laya Falls) is a pretty 20m waterfall on the Coral Coast of southern Viti Levu near the Biausevu village. The waterfall slides down in two tiers. In between the tiers, it looked like the stream actually launched in a small waterwheel before making its final descent.
Fiji is an amazing holiday destination and this video will show you why.
