LOBBY OF THE HOTEL WARWICK CHAMPS ELYSEES
REVIVED
Warm contemporary comfort and timeless refinement
Located in the heart of the “golden triangle” of Paris, in the area around the Etoile, the Champs-Elysées and the Avenue George V, at the crossroads of fashion, tourism and business, the Hotel Warwick Champs-Elysées is a discreet refuge, a parenthesis of calm and well-being, soft comfort and sweet pleasures in an ever-more refined and welcoming setting. The renovation of the hotel‘s rooms, corridors, bar and restaurant has reached its conclusion. The lobby is reborn in all its new finery after two and a half months of refurbishment at a cost of 850,000 euros.
A SUPERB METAMORPHOSIS BY PIERRE-YVES ROCHON, an interior designer and architect, who also designed the new decor of the Four Seasons George V, the Atelier Joël Robuchon and many other luxury hotels across the world. He has succeeded in creating a “refined but comfortable atmosphere; a celebration of elegance and warmth, of conviviality and well-being”.
The busy reception area has also been designed as a space for rest, conversation and pleasure, where one can relax comfortably, read a newspaper, surf the internet or have a drink. Guests enjoy personal service provided by the reception and concierge staff.
SYMMETRY AND ROUNDNESS
A hotel entrance is the gateway to dreams, where the first sensations of well-being are felt and set the tone. A wide airy space, symmetrical yet rounded, minimalist yet warm, and resolutely modern, with a mixture of wood, velvet and marble, immediately creates an impression of intimacy and comfort, like an invitation…
Upon entering the hotel, one’s eyes are drawn to the rosewood and black marble reception desk, with its simple lines and warm colours. The backdrop is a stretched wall of damasked red velvet, which hides doors on both sides and softens noise and the bustle of the city.
CONVIVIALITY AND WELL-BEING
From the reception area one can see the lounge, which has been furnished with small wooden tables, sofas and armchairs in an elegant symmetry. The fine red and black stripes of the rug blend softly under the light of the lamps. Something of the 1930s blends with the oriental inspired sliding screens of steel and wood that gives this space such an intimate feel.
The intimate feel is heightened by a resolutely contemporary style composed of artworks (*), a very minimalist mantelpiece, a huge library, a discreet bar covered in gold leaf and carefully placed lighting. The aim is to make guests of the Warwick Champs-Elysées feel comfortably at home as soon as they enter the hotel, be they French, European or from the other side of the world.
