  • Warwick International Hotels confirms its Global Development Strategy with the signing of a new Management Contract

The 154-key Warwick Moorea Golf & Spa Resort in Moorea (Tahiti) will benefit from the Group’s recognized experience in managing high standard hotels and resorts

Tahiti and Paris (February, 19th 2008) — Warwick International Hotels (WIH) has signed today a management contract with a French Company: Gregori International. Gregori International is currently building a Golf & Spa Resort in Moorea (Tahiti) – French Polynesia. This hotel and golf resort (the Warwick Moorea Golf & Spa Resort) will consist of some 154 uniquely designed villas and rooms, each with a spectacular view over lagoons and beaches. This seaside resort is built next to Moorea Golf Club, the only 18 hole professionally designed Golf course in Moorea. Built against a spectacular hillside, the Golf Club has an extensive club-house which includes a bar, a restaurant and other supporting facilities. The resort and the Golf course are located only five minutes away from Moorea airport on a site that extends on a white sand beach. The Golf, designed by Jack Nicklaus Design, is already in operation and the resort is scheduled to open at the beginning of 2010.

With this new management contract, Warwick International Hotels’ network will consist of 41 hotels with 5600 rooms.

Warwick International Hotels will continue its dynamic expansion on three areas: further acquisitions of hotels and resorts when appropriate opportunities arise, organic growth by way of management contracts and affiliations. Several projects are now under study in Frankfurt, Berlin, Atlanta, and St Louis.

“Today, the signing of this new management agreement in Moorea (Tahiti) shows the capacity and  the willingness of WIH to respond to hotel investors & owners looking for a privately owned and  internationally recognised hotel brand to operate their hotels and resorts”, said Mr Jean-François Garnier, Warwick Director of Group Development .

“Warwick International Hotels has a long track record in hotel management and we are convinced that our new Golf & Spa Resort will be one of the tourism pearls in this part of the South Pacific”, said      Mr Jean-Louis Gregori, President of Gregori International.

Currently, in the South Pacific, WIH operates two resorts in Fiji and one in Vanuatu. Warwick Resorts are also being built in Samoa and Tonga.
