Group Sales Manager - Warwick Allerton Chicago

Warwick Allerton Chicago offers a perfect place to stay while visiting the Windy City. We are seeking a self motivated, dynamic and energetic Group Sales Manager to be part of our team.  The key functions of this position are;

  • To establish, cultivate and generate business with group client.
  • He/she will serve as the hotel representative to prospective clients and customers who need to rent guestrooms, meeting space, food and beverage service, etc.
  • To initiate new sales, prospects and accounts. This role qualifies leads and solicits potential clients, entertains clients, conducts site visits, determines rates, prepares proposals, negotiates contracts, services accounts and analyzes lost business for the hotel.
  • Develops sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed established revenue and room night goals. Works with various departments to ensure requested services are provided to customers.
  • Overall Responsibilities Include:

    • Respond to sales inquiries from potential clients and customers seeking sleeping rooms, meeting space, food and beverage services, etc.

    • Manage the GRC for your respective market

    • Directly manage and drive the group sales strategy for your market

    • Host and entertain clients and maintain client accounts

    • Determine rates, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, service accounts and analyze lost business for the hotel(s)

    • Develop sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed established revenue and room night goals

    • Partner with operations departments to ensure full participation in servicing accounts

    • Maintain and participate in an active sales solicitation program.

    • Meet or exceed sales solicitation call goals as assigned by the Director of Sales.

    • Assist in implementing special promotions relating to direct sales segments, i.e. parties, sales blitzes, etc.

    • Assist in the preparation of required reports in a timely manner.

    • Conduct a professional, thorough site inspection of the hotel with clients, exhibiting key features and benefits of the property.

    • Use Delphi to manage the hotel's business, including (but not limited to) generating reports, entering business, blocking space and building accounts.

    • Meet and greet onsite contacts.

    • Abide by Prime Selling Time (PST).

    • Develop networking opportunities through active participation in community and professional associations, activities and events.
