About Us

A Collection of Individuals in Exceptional Locations

NY

Launched in 1980, Warwick Hotels and Resorts represents a collection of distinct, upscale properties known for quality throughout the world. With more than 55 hotels on five continents, the Warwick collection is bound together by what distinguishes it: All of our hotels are renowned for their exceptional locations and remarkable stories.

Discover these unique tales steeped in deep-rooted origins and celebrate local traditions as we bring our heritage to life.

Heritage and Unique History

Inspired by the distinguished identity of its first hotel, Warwick Hotels and Resorts developed its worldwide collection. An emblematic establishment of Manhattan since 1926, Warwick New York was built by early 20th-century media tycoon William Randolph Hearst for the love of his life, actress Marion Davies. The hotel inevitably became a Manhattan icon, best noted in the background of the famous photograph “Lunch Atop a Skyscraper.”

Synonymous with New York glamour and understated elegance, the hotel has hosted countless celebrities throughout its existence and continues to host stars to this day. Regular guests of historical note include Elvis Presley, the Beatles (when they performed at “The Ed Sullivan Show”) and Cary Grant, a long-term resident.

ERITAGE

Many Warwick hotels helped shape history and city skylines, whether they were once stately residences of English aristocrats, refuges for superstars, or stays between original stone temples amid royal grounds handed down through generations.

For example, Hotel Westminster in Paris – where the Duke of Westminster once lived in the 19th century – celebrates its 200th anniversary as one of the first hotels in the City of Light. The Warwick Brussels is situated next to the Grand Place in Brussels, where the Duke of Wellington inspected his troops before departing for the Battle of Waterloo.

The royal family in Ubud, a region known for its musical heritage and Balinese arts, built Warwick Ibah Luxury Villas & Spa in Bali. The Denver Playboy Club, popular in the late 60s and early 70s, is now part of the colourful history of Warwick Denver Hotel. Tropical plants and wildlife surround the 209 luxurious cottages of the Misty Hills Country Hotel near Johannesburg, an oasis of calm filled with traditional African culture.

So as you can discover for yourself, each Warwick hotel carries a unique story woven into the historical fabric of the city.

NIQUE HISTORY

Exceptional Locations

Paris, Brussels, Geneva, New York, San Francisco and Bangkok are among the many fascinating cities where Warwick hotels can be found. Proudly located in the heart of each metropolis, Warwick hotels serve as a sanctuary amid the hustle and bustle. The city centre is often quite literally at the doorstep of Warwick hotels. In fact, our newest hotel, the Nuzul Al Dabab by Warwick, is only minutes from the Riyadh National Museum.

Mission

There is a common purpose behind our endeavours: to create a tasteful and welcoming ambience where guests’ needs are anticipated and their expectations are surpassed. We care for and cherish traditions, and we take pride in combining local characteristics with understated elegance and attentive service.

Each of our hotels has its own story to tell, and many retain the intimate ambience of a private residence. While they are all equipped with modern-day comforts and amenities, our properties are a product of a thoughtful restoration – a celebration of the heritage and roots from which we come. We invite you to embark on the Warwick Journey with us and discover the vibrant history behind each hotel.

The Evolution of Our Logo

IH Logo Evolution

Every hotel name may have a story, but few hotels can claim inspiration from royalty. Since the dawn of Warwick, “The Monarch” has represented living and, more importantly, receiving the royal treatment. It symbolises Warwick Hotels and Resorts’ promise that wherever the emblem reigns, so does a different level of service and sophistication.

Today, our mark still exudes that promise, but it has evolved with our innovations in service excellence into a most iconic form. Our mark is a refined symbol that fluently communicates our enduring passion for surpassing expectations, cherishing local traditions and providing the highest level of service amid our hotels’ and resorts’ luxuriously unique settings.
