IT Manager France
JOB DESCRIPTION
The IT Manager France is responsible for ensuring the effective operation of all IT systems and networks used by hotels and other facilities in France, both in terms of technology and infrastructure, to the full satisfaction of end-users (customers, employees, offices, etc.). The IT Manager France is responsible for ensuring compliance with current data security regulations and Warwick standards.
REQUIRED PROFILE
- Minimum 2 years' higher education in IT, ideally 5 years in IT engineering
- 5 years' experience
- Fluent in English
IT skills:
Good knowledge of the following tools :
- Microsoft Office latest version and earlier
- Microsoft Server latest version and earlier
- Opera PMS version 5.1 (including OXI and IFC support)
- Symphony POS
- Sage accounting system
- Video surveillance systems
- Preferred 3CX telephone systems
- IPBX
- Tiger telephone billing system or similar
- RFID key systems
- TV and VOD systems
- Internet access LAN (internal network) and WIFI (external network)
- Payment system and processor (knowledge of Worldline is a plus)
- Versatility on other subjects: Firewall (Watchguard preferred), Cybersecurity, RMS, IT asset monitoring (Glpi), project monitoring via tools.
Network skills :
Expertise in network management including :
- Microwave firewalls, installation, configuration and administration.
- Remote access via IPSEC & SSL/VPN clients.
- Switch administration and VLAN creations.
- Access control administration and configuration.
IT tasks and responsibilities:
- Participate in hotel department head meetings at least once a week.
- Provide day-to-day support of all IT systems to hotel and office users.
- Manage and support standard and customized functionalities of PMS, POS systems as well as security modules, reports, managers, utilities, configuration, users, logins and passwords security...
- Ensure that connectivity and internet services for customers and other users are maintained at the highest level, and that the EMEA Development Director is informed immediately of any problems that may arise.
- Monitor the performance of all systems (hardware and software) and keep written records of these checks so that appropriate reports can be completed.
- Test and maintain all Warwick Group approved IT systems.
- Monitor performance and manage interactions with suppliers and external support staff. The IT Manager France Zone will also be consulted in the research of new systems as well as their integration and installation into existing networks.
- Assist with all new system installations, development and documentation of hotel and office processes (such as system migration, implementation of new services, etc.).
- Resolve users' IT problems as quickly as possible (e.g. inoperative software, faulty hardware...) using all necessary resources (internal & external).
- Monitor data security and ensure network compliance with current regulations and Warwick Group standards.
- Monitor all backup systems and correct any problems as quickly as possible.
- Drawing up feasibility studies for the purchase of IT systems/equipment and installations of an IT nature falling within the scope of competence.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all systems (hardware and software).
- Maintain WIFI system
- Maintain commercial relations and monitor the proper execution of contracts with third parties.
Tasks and Network Responsibilities:
- Provide IT maintenance support to hotels and headquarters via VPAN/MPLS or virtual private network.
- Actively support the use of a ticketing system for support.
- Assist in monitoring the ticketing system to ensure that all issues are updated on a daily basis.
- Ensure that firewalls and network standards are maintained at all times.
- Monitor Internet systems/networks to ensure optimum service to internal and external customers.
- Monitor firewall performance. Maintain performance logs to complete reports sent to headquarters. Install, maintain and test all firewall systems Monitor quality of wireless systems and coordinate support with authorized vendors.
- Assist PC / laptop support when required. Promote internal resources and escalate IT issues to Regional, Database, Application Managers as required.
- Maintain an inventory of all network hardware, peripherals, PCs, Servers... and participate in any other activities to assist hotel staff.
- Set up new staff computers for integration into the network(s).
