At the Warwick Reine Astrid- Lyon, we believe in tourism that respects the environment, people, and our local area. That’s why we are in the process of obtaining the Green Key certification , a leading label for sustainable hospitality.
1) Energy and Resource Management :
- Installation of LED lights with motion detectors to limit energy consumption.
- Continuous improvement of the building’s thermal insulation.
- Reduction of paper consumption by promoting digital documentation.
- Modernized audio-visual equipment in our seminar rooms, following their complete renovation to minimize document printing.
2 ) Waste Reduction and Recycling :
- Implementation of selective waste sorting and organic waste separation for composting.
- Reduction of individual packaging and use of reusable containers.
- Replacement of miniature hygiene products with eco-labeled dispensers.
- Breakfast buffet restocked gradually during service to prevent food waste
3) Sustainable Tourism and Eco-friendly Mobility :
- Promoting the use of public transport, walking, or cycling due to our convenient location.
- Promotion of eco-friendly activities such as nature walks and discovering local green spaces.
4) Commitment to Sustainable Dining :
- Maximum use of bulk products to reduce packaging.
- Waste sorting in both the dining area and kitchen (cardboard, plastics, organic waste).
- Food waste recycling into compost.
5) Awareness and Continuous Improvement :
- Informing and awareness-raising guests and staff about eco-friendly practices.
- Giving guests the option to choose the frequency of linen and towel changes.
- Ongoing process to obtain the Green Key certification, ensuring a voluntary and high-performance environmental commitment.
